As Vice Principal for Research and Enterprise at the University of Edinburgh, Christina leads strategy and policy on research and innovation in the UK's fourth-largest research university. This role covers external funding, REF, research culture and environment, ethics and integrity, innovation, engagement and impact. She is also Vice President for Public Policy at the British Academy, the UK's national academy for humanities and social sciences. Alongside these roles, Christina conducts her own research on the use of science and expert knowledge in policy making, and on immigration policies in the UK, Germany and EU.
