Those in formal or informal leadership roles often work across organisational boundaries, building inclusive coalitions and influencing beyond silos. Yet the skills to lead outreach and public engagement are not always recognised or understood in systems and institutions that are still orientated around specialisms and silos. Our poster shares a development framework produced by the Ogden Trust that identifies the core competencies needed to lead outreach and public engagement. We hope the framework will help people reflect on their skills and attributes, identify training needs, and surface the core capabilities needed in institutions.
