Jo Heaton-Marriott (she/her)
Jo is a lapsed scientist who found her own niche in communications and engagement.
Following completion of her PhD, Jo moved into science communication and public engagement, setting up award-winning science festivals and outreach activity. She is an experienced executive leader, having overseen external relations including public and civic engagement, fundraising and all aspects of communications at two large modern universities, and has a particular interest in social responsibility.
Jo believes in the wider value of universities and is committed to ensuring that the sector makes a difference. She acts as an Expert in Public Engagement for the European Research Council and is a trustee of the charity Key Unlocking Futures.
She is now MD of The Authentic Partnership Ltd, a strategic consultancy aiming to help organisations and individuals build profile with purpose.
