Future Research Lab 2045: Reimagining universities through arts-based civic action

This workshop invites participants to step into a simulated 'research lab' set in 2045,  inspired by the research partnership between UAL, Southwark Citizens and South East London Health Anchor Network. Participants will be assigned roles as civic leaders, researchers, and public sector professionals of the future (complete with specially made hats!). Role-playing cross-sector working groups, they will design a participatory, arts-based research project for a housing issue set in 2045. Working backwards, they will identify the cultural and structural shifts universities must make now to make cross-sector collaboration of the future easier, and help mitigate against housing challenges of 2045.
