Ella Tainton

Ella works in NCCPE's Projects and Innovation team. Before joining the Centre, she worked in project coordination and engagement in the community sector. Most recently she worked at Southmead Development Trust, a community organisation based in North Bristol. Her recent projects there focused on grassroots climate and nature action including energy and retrofit, green skills, tree planting, and setting up a community garden. She is particularly passionate about how climate and nature action must be accessible, equitable, and incorporate multiple types of knowledge to find solutions. More generally she is interested in how science and research are communicated and knowledge is shared.

Outside of work she loves being outside whether it's hiking, climbing, swimming, or gardening. She is always up for chatting about weird and wonderful wildlife and hearing about other people's nerdy interests.
