Community Connections - open processes and flexible design to redistribute power in community-led public engagement
School of Advanced Studies, University of London
This encounter will share learning and demonstrate processes from the 'Community Connections' pilot delivered by the Centre for Public Engagement Practice in Arts and Humanities. Through lightning case studies and interactive games, you will experiment with frameworks and tools that empower communities to be decision-makers and developers of public engagement projects with researchers. In small groups, using our 'intersectional dice' and cue cards, you will role-play scenarios and stakeholder personas to explore practical steps for creating ethical and equitable collaborations. This workshop will provide tangible tools and methods that you can adapt for your own contexts.
