
We have an exciting opportunity for a Researcher Engagement Coordinator to join our Wellcome Genome Campus Public Engagement team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role you will play a key role in shaping and delivering a growing programme of incentives, training and support across the Campus community, including the staff and students in the world-leading Wellcome Sanger Institute and European Bioinformatics Institute.
The Public Engagement team is part of Wellcome Genome Campus Connecting Science and you will benefit from dynamic cross-working with a range of companion teams and shared expertise.
You will work closely with Campus communities and support teams to ensure public engagement is embedded across a range of activities, including workload models, grant application, research culture, training and reward processes. You will contribute to positive change in researcher development and PE practice that can be evidenced through ongoing evaluation and the creation of exemplar case studies.
Your role as Researcher Engagement Coordinator will be central to our effort to promote and embed a culture of engaged research which includes the brokering of relationships with public communities and measuring the outcomes of targeted public engagement undertaken with them.
You will work alongside the public engagement team and wider teams across the Campus, particularly around training, research support, HR, policy and communications.
