The National Schools' Observatory (NSO) project are looking for an enthusiastic, driven leader to join the team as Project Manager in a Job Share (the other part of the Job Share is also 0.6FTE). The position will include sharing the management of the team of staff dedicated to the project, alongside ensuring that the project remains on course to deliver the current strategy. Good communication skills will be essential to liaise with the team, users and stakeholders of the project, alongside the wider department.
The NSO is a major educational website, established by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) to provide UK and Irish schools with access to a professional robotic telescope primarily designed for scientific research, called the Liverpool Telescope. The NSO aims to attract, inspire and enthuse children about science and technology through the medium of astronomy guided by our drive to provide "Access to the Universe for All".
