Join us for this day-long workshop on evaluation, developing sustainable engagement practice, and making a case for the value of engagement.

Part of our Environmental Engagement in Practice events programme, 'Evaluation, sustainability and making a case' is a free, practical, online event that will explore the challenges of evaluating your public engagement programme effectively, if and how to sustain your work, and how to evidence the value of engagement within your research and practice.

We will support you to develop a strong evaluation plan, with mini-workshops where you can explore key skills such as how to design evaluation questions and unpick the ethics of your evaluation practice. You will hear from speakers, who have developed sustainable engagement practice and partnerships, on their experiences and the tools they have found most useful. Finally, you will focus on how to advocate for the value of engagement, with sessions on how to write engagement into funding applications, evidencing impact through narrative case studies as seen in the Research Excellence Framework (REF), and the role of engagement in creating impact through research.

This event will include talks, interactive workshops, and networking, with opportunities for you to join breakout discussions with fellow practitioners and reflect on your own practice.

The full agenda will be shared closer to the day.
