Learning from Experience
In this event we'll hear from three speakers, there will be time for questions and small breakout group discussions to network, share ideas and discuss engagement strategy development, implementation and evaluation.
Lauren Deere, Interim Director of Public and Cultural Engagement at the University of Birmingham, will share their new Public and Cultural Engagement Strategy . At the heart of the new strategy is a new framework for public and cultural engagement which aims to reimagine standard sector practice by plugging engagement directly into the heart of the university’s core work and purpose. Lauren will talk about the development of the new strategy and framework and how its being implemented in different parts of the university.
Natt Day, Head of patient and public involvement at UCLPartners, will talk about developing their recently launched Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) strategy and how its being implemented across the organisation. The strategy was co-produced by members of their Patient, Carer and Public Advisory Panel and staff to reflect their collective ambitions and needs. It outlines the next steps for UCLPartners’ journey to create an environment that supports partnerships between patients, carers, communities and staff.
Sarah Gifford, Civic Engagement Lead at Queen Mary University of London, will share the co-creation process behind their Civic Agreement, how it’s being delivered and their monitoring and evaluation plan.
