Measuring Civic Value
It is well documented that measuring civic engagement work is challenging. The NCCPE team are writing a chapter for the Lessons on Civic Mission in South Wales book series to support universities to do this.
Given the book will be case studies of civic work, there is an opportunity to include examples of assessing civic value relating to these examples. Therefore in preparing our chapter on, ‘Measuring Civic Value’ we are inviting other contributors to share their approaches to measuring civic value and reflections on doing this. These examples will be used alongside examples from other parts of the NCCPE’s work to illustrate different types of civic value and how these might be measured, as well as reflect on some of the common challenges arising from measuring civic.
The survey below is light touch. We would like to gain an understanding of your approach to measuring civic value. You will also have an opportunity to let us know if you would be prepared to take part in a follow-up interview, where we can explore your approach in more depth.
