The School-University Partnership Initiative has seen some really effective approaches to schools and universities working together.
Today saw the launch of the Open University's latest resources exploring how to plan for school university partnerships. Their website contains all you need to develop your approach. Based on the premise that 'upstream planning for school-university engagement with research requires careful, structured thinking involving teachers, researchers and (where relevant and possible) students, supported by effective downstream project management' the team have developed a set of planning tools to support the development, enactment, and evaluation of school-university activities. These planning resources are a useful start to thinking through how to develop really effective partnership approaches.
