An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University of Aberdeen’s award winning Public Engagement with Research Unit (PERU). The PERU coordinates a through-year suite of support and opportunities for academic staff and students to engage with a range of audiences. Among other things they lead European Researchers’ Night across Scotland, deliver one of the UK’s largest café science programmes and act as regional hubs for Bright Club, Pecha Kucha Nights, the ESRC Festival of Social Science and British Science Week. The team also deliver support, training and bespoke grant writing workshops to staff and students from across the whole spectrum of university disciplines. Aberdeen also holds an RCUK Catalyst award through which they work closely with other HEIs, the NCCPE, RCUK and a range of partners to promote culture change towards public engagement in the higher education setting.
