Imperial College London are searching for a Patient and Public Involvement Officer to work in their Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology.
The post offers the opportunity to coordinate and support Patient & Public Involvement (PPI) and Patient Experience (PE) activities for major new areas of development: the West London Genomic Medicine Centre (delivered by four local trusts, ICHT, C&W, RB&H, RMH), four recently established Health Protection Research Units at Imperial College (Modelling Methodology, Respiratory Infections, Healthcare Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance, Health Impact of Environmental Hazards) and the NIHR-Diagnostic Evidence Cooperative. Each of these organisations and their partners are developing PPI/E strategies and activities and have agreed to combine to support this new post to provide expert support.
Applicants must have a Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field with experience of working with patient and public groups or equivalent. You must be able to demonstrate experience of working in health care, research or a similar environment and have sound knowledge of PPI and PE in NIHR and NHS policies.
