The Museum-University Partnership Initiative (MUPI) is an ACE-funded project that sought to develop mutually beneficial partnerships between small museums and university academics. During the course of the project we ran MUPI Match events, offering opportunities for museums and universities to develop partnerships, and over 70 projects have been initiated across the UK as a result.
Join us for a showcase celebrating the outcomes of this project. Hear from these new collaborations, share learning from the project, and help us to explore the future of museum-university partnerships.
Call for Contributions
We are delighted to invite delegates to respond to our call for contributions. There are a range of opportunities to be involved, from telling the story of your project and some of the challenges you've overcome; to hosting a workshop; convening a discussion; or participating as a panellist or speaker. There are further details in the registration form.

One of the key aims of this event is to bring together representatives from each MUPI-funded project to share learning about how their collaborations developed, what they have achieved, and the challenges they've encountered along the way. To support participation in this event, a limited number of travel bursaries (of up to £100) will be available on a first-come-first-served basis to delegates involved in a MUPI project, with a particular focus of encouraging museum staff to attend. These bursaries are limited to one per project; we suggest that project leads liaise with their teams to prevent unnecessary duplication.
Bursaries are also available to enable other members of museum staff (those not involved in a MUPI project) to attend. You can apply for a bursary when registering.
