Beginners' guide to public engagement: London

Aimed at newcomers to public engagement, this short introductory course will equip you with the knowledge you need to plan your engagement activity from concept through to evaluation.

The course will take you on a whistle-stop tour of the essential hallmarks of quality public engagement, including:

  • Why engage? Setting out the purpose of your engagement
  • Who to engage with? Identifying and understanding your target audiences
  • What? Exploring the variety of techniques and approaches for engaging with the public
  • Evaluation: Understanding why evaluation is important, and exploring a range of methods

The course will be highly interactive with exercises and discussion.

Please note that this course can be booked alongside 'Engaging with Communities', which takes place from 2pm-4.30pm on the same day, for a reduced rate (£150, including lunch). Please select this option via the online shop.
