Engage 2022 Live: Programme
The Engage Live Conference 2022 will take place on 7th December, with an informal drinks reception on the evening of 6th December.
Engage Live will bring us all together to reflect on the current contexts for engagement, and to build our collective capacity for high quality engagement between universities and society. Come to share your experiences and practice, be inspired, learn alongside colleagues, and recharge your batteries for the challenges ahead.
6th December: Informal drinks reception
18.00 - 20.00, Central Bristol
Catch up with old colleagues, meet new friends, and begin to tune into how we’re all making sense of the current contexts for public engagement in an informal setting.

7th December: Engage Live
9.30 - 16.45, EP1 (based at the University of the West of England's Frenchay campus)
The main day of Engage Live 2022 will kick off at 9.30am, with coffee and snacks available from 9am. For those unable to attend in person, we are offering an Engage Backstage Pass for exclusive online access to the Engage Live experience.

This session includes input from networks including the National Centre for Universities and Business; The National Centre for Academic and Cultural Exchange (NCACE); the Civic University Network; the Capabilities in Academic Policy Engagement (CAPE) and Universities Policy Engagement Network, and the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement. |

15:30 - 16:45 | Plenary: Reimagining the futureFinal plenary session featuring challenging and provocative perspectives on the future of engagement and knowledge creation. Steven Hill from Research England, Cassie Robinson (Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Power to Change, Former Deputy Director of Funding Strategy at The National Lottery Community Fund) and Nick Ishmael-Perkins from The International Science Council will share perspectives from their own work and practice. They will encourage us to reimagine our work, and to refresh how we make the case for public engagement in rapidly changing and uncertain times. |
Engage Online and Backstage Pass
For those unable to attend the in-person event this year, we are also offering a Backstage Pass - providing privileged, behind-the-scenes access to the Engage Live event on 7th December!
Travel with our host Jamie Gallagher, as he meets delegates, visits the poster party, hosts interviews, and provides a flavour of what is happening around the Conference.
