Engage 2020: Call for contributions

Call for contributions

We are really pleased that you would like to be involved with this year's Engage conference, which will be held online from Monday 30th November – Friday 4th of December

The call for contributions will close on Monday 31st of August, 11pm.

If you would like to contribute, have innovative practices to share, tricky issues to explore, or would like to stimulate discussion, reflection and action, we invite you to share your ideas. Online working sessions could include interactive workshops, debates, panel discussions or webinars, storytelling, a living library book, a video showcase entry, or a contribution wildcard (for those really different ideas that don't fit any category).

For those wanting to curate something really innovative, we are making small bursaries available, enabling our community to push the boundaries of online engagement, explore other innovative ways of bringing people together, or to develop new tools and methods.

See the Engage hub page for full details, including the conference themes and session formats we are seeking.

Innovation grants

We are keen to encourage Engage 2020 contributors to curate something really innovative, and we are able to make a contribution to costs that are associated with this. This is to enable contributors to push the boundaries of online engagement, explore other innovative ways of bringing people together, or to develop tools and methods to approach engagement in our current context. Examples of costs these grants may cover: new ways of using online platforms; contributor time.

If there are cost implications for your session that you'd like help to cover, please let us know below. If your contribution is selected to be part of the programme, we will contact you to discuss the support we can offer.
