How to use these training materials

How this course is structured

The course is made up of modules and sections. Each module contains a number of sections which make up a single module. You can work through the sections sequentially or go direct to the section you are most interested in. If you are new to public engagement we recommend that you start with Getting started in public engagement and work through each section sequentially.

Content types

All interactive content is shown in blue boxes. Within the box will either be an exercise or a video.

Exercises will either ask you jot down your responses to a question, to prepare something offline or complete a task online. Some of the exercises contain hidden prompts behind a plus sign. To reveal the hidden information simply click on the symbol. Try the exercise below to check it works.
