The NCCPE is keen to involve a wide range of people in our work. We have developed an events programme to help inform our approach and support the sharing of good practice. We are also keen to support other relevant events whenever possible. All events will be advertised in our e-newsletter, so please sign up.
The NCCPE launched our national conference series in November 2009 - when we ran a free Open House event in Bristol.
We currently have three additional National Conferences planned.
1. vinspired students National Conference, 17/18 June, Bristol
This conference, being run in partnership with WISCV (Workers in Student and Community Volunteering) is an opportunity for staff and students to come together to discuss the challenges and opportunities for student volunteering.
2. NCCPE Engagement Conference; December 7/8 2010, London
This conference will see the launch of the Public Engagement Manifesto and resources
- to support senior managers to embed engagement into their institutions work
- to support staff and students to engage with the public
3. NCCPE Engagement Conference: December 2011, Bristol (date tbc)
The NCCPE Engagement conferences provide an opportunity for you to find out more about our work and the work of the beacons. Each conference will include:

These events provide an opportunity for staff and students at universities and research institutes to meet with those outside the sector to explore the challenges and opportunities of engaging with the public. If you would like to suggest a workshop, or partner us to run a workshop, please get in touch
