Physics Outreach Workshops
- Date:
- 27 April 2010
The Institute of Physics runs a series of workshops for physicists interested in getting involved in physics outreach activities or developing their activities further. The workshops were previously open only to Institute members, but they now offer places to anyone interested in physics outreach. The workshops are free, but participants will pay their own travel expenses.
There are still some places available on the workshops being held during May. Here are the details:
- 5 May 2010: Extending Your Outreach (Plantasia, Swansea) An opportunity for physicists with some experience of taking part in public engagement and outreach activities to work with others to develop ideas for their own events, consider ways of reaching different audiences and discover what funders are looking for.
- 11 May 2010: Doing Outreach (University of Southampton) An introduction to public engagement and outreach activities for physicists wanting to build confidence and find out how to get involved.
- 13 May 2010: Extending Your Outreach (W5, Belfast) An opportunity for physicists with some experience of taking part in public engagement and outreach activities to work with others to develop ideas for their own events, consider ways of reaching different audiences and discover what funders are looking for.
