The Engaging Researcher: new resource

6 July 2010

Today sees the launch of a new resource for researchers. The Engaging Researcher is a brief introduction to public engagement for researchers, which seeks to inspire and equip more people to engage the public with their work. The booklet is written by Suzanne Spicer (from the Manchester Beacon) and Sophie Duncan (from the NCCPE) and includes:

  • Public Engagement: What it is and why it matters
  • How to guide
  • Top tips and resources
  • Case studies and quotes from engaged researchers.

The booklet is the third in a series of booklets produced by Vitae and was developed by the Beacons for Public Engagement and Vitae working in partnership.

You can download the booklet from the Vitae website.

In addition Vitae are hosting an online discussion forum about engagement - so do add your views.
