Action Research Cross Stream Workshop

Action Research Event

action research meetingProfessor Danny Burns introducing the NCCPE Action Research workshop in July 2010

A central part of the whole process is to share the ideas and work emerging through these groups - amongst each other and more widely. To support this, the NCCPE hosted a large event, bringing together many group members alongside others not involved in the programme. A report of this workshop has now been published, which you can download here (PDF 1.33mb).

This modified ‘Open Space’ was organised to bring together participants from the NCCPE’s action research programme with others interested in understanding amd taking action to improve university public engagement. Delagates came from across England, as well as from Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland for this rare opportunity to network, reflect and contribute to future agendas for change in higher education.

The following short concept notes were derived from the action research programme over the past year, and were used to inform the large cross sector workshop which took place in Bristol on July 8th. Each paper was the starting point for a discussion on July 8th.
