I am a third year Doctoral Researcher at the University of Birmingham, researching cultural politics in Victorian Pantomime in Manchester.
My studentship commenced in 2006 when I undertook a taught Masters programme in Social Research and Evaluation (Social Work) at the University of Huddersfield. Following successful completion of this programme I embarked upon my PhD in 2007 at the University of Huddersfield
I’m a Chemical Engineer with an interest in fermentation and foam separation. I completed my PhD at The University of Manchester in 2011 and am now a Research Associate in the Multiphase Processing Group. My research is focused on trying to find new and more efficient ways to produce biosurfactants.
I worked for five years as a teacher and community learning facilitator before returning to full-time study in 2010 to do a Victorian Studies PhD in the School of Arts at Birkbeck.
