CUE East

From literary festivals to mobile laboratories, via 'Carbon Reduction Communities', University of East Anglia Volunteers, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and the Teacher Scientist Network - public engagement in Norwich is thriving.

CUE East is led by the University of East Anglia (UEA). It is designed to foster an informed climate to improve quality of life, support social and economic regeneration regionally and inculcate civic values. It recognises that as much attention needs to be paid to inward looking activities as to outward looking activities.

A key feature of CUE East is a presence at the Forum located off campus which provides a city contact point for the public as well as digital facilities for university staff and students to use in their public engagement activities.

CUE East also aims to change the culture within the University to ensure public engagement is embedded as a worthwhile activity in itself.
